Operational Concepts
Think Research provide operational concept expertise to compliment our validation, safety and HF expertise in order to provide a complete research and development service. Our staff have worked on the development and documentation of single or local concepts as well as the research and consolidation of larger, global concepts.
We have worked on concepts of all maturities of the lifecycle, from Idea (V0) to Implementation (V5) and beyond. We frequently conduct operational research on existing concepts, seeking to test or improve them. We also explore future concepts for 2020 and beyond, capturing requirements and delivering concept storyboards and operational descriptions.
Our work over the years has seen us exposed to the entire Gate to Gate concept. In fact, we provided major contributions to the 5th Framework GATE TO GATE programme concept, including developing the concept description methodology and supporting the individual work packages in their own concept descriptions. So whether it is En-Route, Approach or TWR/Airport, we have the concept knowledge to help you.
Our work with operational staff in simulations and trials has meant we have been involved with most of the Actors in the ATM system. We have contributed to concepts concerning ATCOs, pilots, support staff, supervisory staff, and regulatory bodies. Human Factors experience such as task analysis for pilots and ATCOs and safety projects such as the Controller Action Reliability Assessment means that we can take a range of considerations into account in our concept work, increasing the likelihood of success, feasibility, operability and acceptability or your operational concept for all stakeholders.
